Establishing a maintenance routine for your window treatments is essential. Our shades are great for providing privacy and blocking out light, but they’re also great at gradually collecting dust and other gunk if not properly cared for.

Original Shades

Lightly dust with upholstery attachment regularly. Use a feather duster or a dry cloth to gently remove dirt and dust from the shade. Start from the top and work your way down. 

Since Originals are paper shades, any contact with water will ruin the shade.

Easy Lift Shades & Original Arch Shades

Lightly dust using a feather duster or a dry cloth and/or vacuum with upholstery attachment regularly. Lightly vacuum by using the lowest setting and a soft brush attachment. The vacuum method is particularly recommended for fabric shades. 

If any stains or spots are on your fabric shades, address them promptly by using a mild detergent mixed with water and dab the stained area with a sponge or cloth.
