Redi Shade Product Hacks
More great Redi Shade product hacks! Here’s a few we have found to be handy.
Compressed Air Spray To Clean
This is a great hack for cleaning the inside of any of our cellular shades, including Easy Lift, Original Arch and Artisan Custom or Select shades. You just need a can of compressed air spray. Use the straw it comes with and put it into the inside of the shade and spray. It will get rid of any dust, dirt, or creepy crawlers that have made their way in.

Velcro Straps To Switch Out Shades
This can come in handy if you like to switch out your shades depending on the time of the year or if you simply like to switch shade colors up from time to time. In the photo to the left, we used an Easy Lift shade. You will need some strong velcro adhesive strips, get as many as you think you will need depending on how many shades you would want to switch out. Amazon has some good options, like these by Soon Go. Make sure to get them long enough for your shade width, and then cut as needed. Place one side of the strip to the inside of the window casing and the other side of the strip to your shade (for the other shades you want to switch out, make sure to use the same side of the strip). Then you can place your shade of choice!

Use Multiple Shades To Cover Wide Windows
Have an extra wide window that one Original shade isn’t wide enough for? All you have to do is purchase 2 or more of the Original shades. Choose the size and amount of shades depending on the width of your window. For example, if your window is 70” wide, we recommend purchasing two 36” shades. Then install them where they overlap each other in the middle, like the pictures below. Note: It’s always good to test it before removing the adhesive and sticking it to your casing. Just to see if you will need to trim any of the shade off to make the width a perfect fit when overlapped.

Original Shade Clip Uses
We’ve seen multiple customers use this hack! If you aren’t using your clips to clip up your shade, or you only use one of the clips for your shade, use them to clip a bag of opened chips or nuts!
|
Turn the clips into homemade magnets. Add a small piece of a magnetic strip and you’ve got fridge magnets to hang up your kid’s masterpieces, postcards, and photos. You’ll need a pair of scissors, magnetic tape, and some Redi Shade clips. With scissors, you’ll cut small pieces of magnetic tape. Stick the magnetic tape on the clip, pressing firmly for 20-30 seconds to ensure that the adhesive sticks. Depending on how heavy the item you are hanging is, you may need to add an additional piece of magnetic tape.

You can use your clips as herb markers for your garden or plants. Just add a small piece of tape, write down the name of the herb or plant and clip it to your pot. An easy herb marker for your garden!
