FAQ: How to Install Original Arch Shades

Installing your Redi Shade Original Arch Window Shades can be done in just a few easy steps.

Original Arch Shades are designed to be installed as an inside mount and are designed to fit perfect arch windows. While you may be able to cut and trim the shade for some imperfect arches, we cannot guarantee they will work for you.

Prep your surface. Adhesive failures are most often due to not effectively preparing the surface. Make sure the surface where you are placing the shade is completely cleaned with a lint-free cloth and alcohol.
Measure the width and the height to the nearest 1/4" from the inside of the window casing. If the width is exactly double the height, you have a perfect arch window. Then, trim your shade to the exact width you measured.
Peel the adhesive off and firmly place your shade into the window.
Be sure to install the trimmed section of the shade that has red instructional text rather than the trimmed excess which can be discarded.

Place the shade in the included arch holder and press firmly to secure to the windowsill for 30 seconds. Then, fan the shade open.

These steps work for both our pleated and cellular arch shades.
