Our Easy Lift shades are designed to be used as one shade only, and cannot be cut in half. They have internal cords that are evenly spaced apart, and trimming them on only one side will make the shade lopsided. For instance if your window measures 25″ in width, you will need to cut your shade on the 25″ mark on the ruler on either side to make sure the shade works correctly. Our Easy Lift Shades are designed to be installed with no tools – no outside mount brackets are needed. Simply turn the shade 90 degrees and firmly press the shade into place over the window against the wall. The shades will cascade down very nicely. *Note: Our shades are made to be installed for inside mounts; however, can be installed for outside mounts if needed.
